Valentines Day!

Remember that you are all loved on this day! No matter if you have a significant other or not, love exists all around us.

Most importantly, strive to show love rather than to expect to receive it. That is when the magic happens!

Today my husband and I took the day off of work for a romantic day of getting all of his wisdom teeth retracted! 😂😅 So, if anything, most of you will have a much better day than his! I will be his caregiver and spend the remainder of the day crocheting, watching Netflix, and enjoying the French Macarons that he got me today!

Wilbur the Wildcat

My most recent orders was incredibly unique and was exciting to make!

It was replica of The University of Arizona’s mascot; Wilbur the Wildcat!

This challenge stayed close to my heart because I had attended UA online briefly for my Graduate studies. I really love this University and have learned so much during my time there! This little Wilbur is headed to Tucson, to my coworker’s daughter who is currently a freshman at UA. Bittersweet to see him go!

Baby Garden Shoes

Making these shoes have given me some serious Spring Vibes! These were an order I had received and made them in size 6-12 mos.

What I love about crochet is that I get to be a part of the slow and sustainable fashion/product movement. I’m completely against fast fashion! Plus I get to personalize each product as I please!

Happy Monday!

Groundhog Day!

I love February! I love seeing the colors of pink and red nearly everywhere I go. Plus, it means that Spring is near. Spring is my favorite season (despite how dusty it gets here in Southern New Mexico)!

Speaking of Spring, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow. That means we should expect an early Spring!

In my early crochet years, I made this tiny Punxsutawney Phil. He doesn’t really look like a groundhog, but I still love him so much!!!

Be A Blessing

“If I knew how to crochet, I would make myself….”

This is what I constantly hear when people learn that I know how to crochet. This is followed by a list of accessories that they would hypothetically make for themselves.

I do have many aspirations of what I would like to make myself. But the joy of being able to crochet is that I can bless others with thoughtful gifts!

Before I learned how to crochet, I prayed to The Lord and asked him to help me to learn so that I can bless others. Sure enough, He helped me to quickly learn this craft by myself with YouTube videos!

Now that I make gifts for others, I truly have grasped Genesis 12:2. He has blessed me with this wonderful gift and now I use it to bless others. We are blessed to be a blessing!!!
