I took a small break from blogging during the Christmas holiday because, two weeks before Christmas break from work, I decided to crochet 12 gifts!!!
Whew! Lesson learned: don’t wait until the last minute to make so many projects!
Anyways, I’m so happy that I’ve been blessed to live another year. 2018 was incredible, full of adventures, success, and spiritual growth. I’ve learned the joy of everyday living instead of dreading each day, wishing I didn’t have to work or wishing it was Friday.
Often, happiness is a choice. You can choose to find delight in having a home to clean while there are people who wish they had a warm place to call their own. You can thank The Lord for your job knowing that someone would give anything to be in your position. You can be grateful for changing all those diapers when there are many women who long to have a child of their own. Choose to think of the good of your situation in those moments you feel like complaining!
I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, but as Ralph Waldo Emerson quoted, I want to make everyday a great day. I want to enjoy my journey instead of waiting for ___________ to happen to be happy.
Who’s with me?!
